These poems were written as a part of an experiment on writing as an action rather than a reaction or recollection. With the prompt of viewing poetry as an act, I begin by limiting the vocabulary I am able to use in writing the poems. I do so by transcribing what I can decipher from a movies’ dialogue. Through these poems I am inciting a story, one that the reader gets to superimpose.
